Vasanta Chaitra Navaratri Pooja is the nine day long festival of Navratra, observed in the month of Chaitra as per Hindu calendar. It starts on the first day of Chaitra month and end on the ninth day of the month which is also celebrated as Shri Ram Navami. Chaitra Navratri is also known as Vasant Navratri as it indicated the beginning of Vasant or spring season and Shri Ram Navratra as they end on Shri Ram Navami. During these days, the worship of Goddess Durga and Lord Rama are also performed with great fervor and enthusiasm. Navratri 2013 dates during Chaitra month are - from Thursday 11 April 2013, to Friday 19 April 2013.
